First Lady unveils holiday decorations on Monday.
First Lady Jill Biden has unveiled the Christmas decorations for the White House, celebrating the season with 25 wreaths, 77 Christmas trees, and more than 83,000 Christmas lights. The first lady’s decor was inspired by the historic documents that founded the United States, featuring the phrase “We the People” to guide the many themes showcased throughout the space. Over 150 volunteers spent much of last week decorating the White House both inside and out.
“Room by room, we represent what brings us together during the holidays and throughout the year,” Jill Biden said at the unveiling. “The soul of our nation is, and always has been, ‘We the People.’ And that is what inspired this year’s White House holiday decoration.”
